What this is
A ledger of things Elon Musk said would happen, with a date, that did not — or have not yet. Every entry is a public statement, quoted, dated, and linked to an archived copy of the original. Every outcome is dated too. That is the whole method.
What qualifies
A statement gets an entry when it names a specific outcome and a time it would happen by, and the outcome can be checked. Vague optimism doesn't qualify. “By the end of next year” does.
The name
The site is called what it is called because that is the joke. The ledger itself makes no claim about intent. It records what was said, when, and what happened. Whether a promise was a lie, a guess, or a plan that failed is for the reader to decide.
How entries are tagged
Watching — the deadline has not passed yet; the counter shows time remaining.
Missed promise — the deadline passed and the outcome did not happen; the counter shows how late.
Backtracked — the promise was publicly withdrawn or cancelled before or after its deadline.
False claim — the statement was untrue when it was made; the counter shows how long it stood before it was reversed.
A deadline passes once its date has ended everywhere on Earth: noon UTC the next day.
Quotes
Quotes without a label are the speaker's exact words, from the primary source or quoted directly in a contemporaneous report. Where the wording is a paraphrase, the entry says so: “as reported” for a report's wording, “as stated” for a primary source's. Sources are linked to an archive.org capture whenever one exists.
Corrections
Wrong date, wrong quote, missing context, an outcome that has since changed: get in touch through dubenko.me with the entry id and a source. Entries are corrected, not deleted, and every change is kept in the project's version history.

No affiliation with any company, campaign, or publication. The site runs on tips.
Privacy
Cloudflare hosts this site and counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which Cloudflare says uses no cookies and no fingerprinting. Cloudflare's bot protection runs a small script on every page and stores its result in a cookie, cf_clearance, which can last up to a year. It may also set __cf_bm, which expires after 30 minutes of inactivity. Fonts load from Google Fonts. There are no ads.
