What happened: On 18 November 2022 Musk said Kathy Griffin, Jordan Peterson and the Babylon Bee had been reinstated. On 19 November, after a poll of users, he reinstated Donald Trump's account. No content moderation council had convened. On 22 November 2022 Musk said a large coalition of activist groups had agreed not to try to starve Twitter of advertising revenue if he agreed to the council, and that they had broken the deal; activists who had met him denied making any such deal.
