What happened: Tesla has never performed the promised demonstration drive. Owners have since driven coast to coast on FSD (Supervised) without intervening — David Moss covered 2,732 miles from Los Angeles to Myrtle Beach between 29 and 31 December 2025 — but FSD remains a Level 2 system that requires a licensed driver in the seat.
